If you do not agree to these Terms, you must refrain from using our services.

1. Services Provided

The Biokatalyst offers online tutoring and educational support services in a variety of subjects through its Platform. These services may include one-on-one sessions, group lessons, downloadable resources, and other forms of learning assistance as described on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or accessing the services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Tutors must have the necessary qualifications and experience to teach in the subjects they offer.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may be required to register an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Service Fees

Our services are subject to the applicable fees outlined on the Platform. Fees vary based on subject, session length, and tutor. Payment must be made in full before sessions begin. You may cancel or reschedule a session in accordance with our Cancellation Policy (see Section 9).

5. Tutor-Student Relationship

Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of The Biokatalyst.

• Tutors are responsible for delivering quality educational services, preparing materials, and maintaining professional conduct.

• Students are expected to engage actively in sessions and complete assigned tasks.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Platform lawfully and responsibly.

• Treat tutors, students, and other users with respect.

• Ensure timely payment of fees.

• Have the necessary technology (e.g., device, internet connection) to access services.

7. Tutor Qualifications and Conduct

Tutors must:

• Provide truthful and accurate information regarding their qualifications and experience.

• Maintain professional standards and ethical conduct.

• Understand that The Biokatalyst may remove any tutor who fails to meet these expectations, at our sole discretion.

8. Confidentiality and Privacy

We value your privacy. All personal information you provide will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the Platform.
Tutors must maintain the confidentiality of any student-related information disclosed during sessions.

9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• You may cancel or reschedule a tutoring session with at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Cancellations made within 24 hours may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

• If a tutor cancels, the session will be either rescheduled or refunded per your preference.

• Refunds are only granted when sessions are not delivered or if the tutor fails to meet agreed expectations.

10. Intellectual Property

All content available on the Platform—lesson materials, videos, graphics, etc.—is the property of The Biokatalyst or its licensors.

• You may not copy, distribute, or use any proprietary content without prior written permission.

• Tutors may use their own teaching materials but must not share Platform-provided proprietary content externally.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The Biokatalyst makes no guarantees regarding academic performance or outcomes.

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Platform.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Biokatalyst shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages related to your use of the Platform.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violating these Terms

• Inappropriate behavior

• Non-payment or fraudulent activity

You may close your account by notifying us. Any outstanding fees remain payable upon termination.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Biokatalyst, its employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Platform and will be effective immediately upon posting. You are responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Gujarat, India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Gujarat.
